Geez another crappy game by the refs. Yes, not all the calls on us were bad, it was the non calls on the Freeze that were annoying. I can't understand how other rinks have homer refs and ours seem to love making our games so biased in favor of our opponents. It's weird. My second big complaint is they have a player that is obviously a higher level B player and scores the majority of their goals and controls the play. She's also the biggest dramatic diver I've ever seen on the ice. I can't for the life of me understand why this girl is allowed to play in the league, but the Bobcats are still an exhibition team. It's not right at all.
One of the bright spots was Colleen's play on forward. She hustled and was generally a pain in the ass for the other team. Wendy made some really good plays on defense and Michelle as always was able to move the puck out of the zone. The thing that I noticed that we need to work on is our positioning. We're only off a tad, so that's good. If we continue to plug away, we'll only get better as the season goes on. The shooting the puck more instead of carrying the puck close in to the net is something we need to work on too. Again, that will be solved with time.
All in all, we have a damn good team that hustles and has a positive attitude and that makes for a bunch of happy players.
Oh yeah the score. We lost 3-2. Two of their three goals like last time were scored by their B player. Woo hoo for her coasting around in a division she shouldn't be in.
