We went to the rink all of us hate the most. The ice sucks, the locker rooms are dirty, and the teams that play out of there are chipy. Everyone was jonesed up to play a hard game and it was just that. The final score was a close 2 - 1. Michelle played another kickass game on defense. She ran the puck up the ice, took several shots on and at the net, and took the puck from countless skaters on the other team. She's clearly our best defenseman whether she wants the title or not.
One of the Demons players tripped on the shitty ice and slid feet first into the boards and jammed her knee up. Right after that one of the other Demons, Wang, took a clear run at one of our smallest players. She shoulder checked Abby into the boards behind our net. It wasn't called for and having a player like that who can skate at a higher level than the majority of her teammates proves she cares more about hurting people than helping her own team. Abby's bell was run and lucky for us she was able to complete the game.
More than likely we will be facing this same team in playoffs. I hope we can do the same thing we did today and knock them out of the game.
